Announcement of new UKEMS Vice President

We are delighted to announce that Professor Awadhesh Jha has been appointed as the next Vice President of UKEMS. Awadhesh is based at the University of Plymouth and is a leading academic in the field of genetic toxicology and ecotoxicology. He has authored over 150 publications. Awadhesh is also a previous recipient of UKEMS’ prestigious Jim Parry Award.

The Vice President serves two years in the role before assuming the role of President for two subsequent years. Awadhesh will succeed current Vice President, Dr Ann Doherty, who will become President at the UKEMS AGM at the Annual Meeting in July.
